Refund Policy

This Refund Policy (“Policy”) explains the terms governing refunds for the products and services offered by The Uncommon U, LLC, also operating as The Uncommon U (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By purchasing from us, you agree to this Policy. Some programs also have their own terms presented at the time of purchase; where those program-specific terms differ from this Policy, the program-specific terms control.

1. General

We invest significant time and resources in preparing and delivering our programs, and our pricing reflects that. Refunds are available only as described below. Our free offerings — the Healed Girls Community and our podcast — involve no payment and are not subject to refunds.

2. One-on-One Coaching Programs

This section applies to our 1:1 coaching programs, including the 6-week A.C.T. Pathway and the 12-week program (the A.C.T. Pathway plus S.O.A.R.).

2.1 Before your first session. You may request a refund within three (3) days of your purchase, provided your first session has not yet taken place, by emailing [email protected] with your order number and the email address used for the purchase.

2.2 After your program begins. Once three (3) days have passed or your first session has taken place — whichever happens first — all sales are final. This includes situations where you have attended a session or received any coaching materials.

3. Return and Rest Retreat

3.1 Refund window. You may request a refund within three (3) days of your payment by emailing [email protected]. After the third day, all sales are final.

3.2 Transfers. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another person. The full terms for the Retreat, including transfers and installment payments, are set out in the Return and Rest Retreat Terms and Conditions, which control for any Retreat purchase.

4. Books and Devotionals

4.1 Physical books and devotionals. You may return a physical book or devotional within fourteen (14) days of delivery if it is unused and in its original, resalable condition. Email [email protected] to request a return. You are responsible for return shipping, and original shipping charges are non-refundable. We will issue your refund once we receive and inspect the returned item.

4.2 Digital books and devotionals. You may request a refund within three (3) days of purchase only if you have not yet downloaded or accessed the item. Once a digital book or devotional has been downloaded or accessed, all sales are final.

5. Free Offerings

The Healed Girls Community and our podcast are provided free of charge. Because no payment is collected, no refunds apply to these offerings.

6. Speaking Engagements

Speaking engagements are arranged under separate agreements with the organization or person booking the engagement and are governed by the terms of those agreements, not by this Policy.

7. Exceptions

7.1 Service unavailability. If a paid digital service is completely unavailable due to a technical issue on our end for more than 72 consecutive hours, and we are unable to resolve it or provide an acceptable alternative, you may be eligible for a prorated refund for the period of unavailability.

7.2 Special circumstances. We understand that exceptional situations can arise. In rare cases, we may consider a refund request outside this Policy on a case-by-case basis. Any such exception is entirely at our discretion, is not guaranteed, and does not obligate us to grant similar requests.

8. Refund Process

8.1 How refunds are issued. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method through our payment providers (Stripe and PayPal). Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear. We do not control our payment providers and cannot expedite their timing.

8.2 Fees and bonuses. For an eligible refund, any payment-processing fees we incurred may be deducted from the refund. If your purchase included bonuses or gifts provided at no extra charge and you choose to keep them, the value of those items may also be deducted.

9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to resolve it. By agreeing to this Policy, you acknowledge that initiating a chargeback or payment dispute for a purchase that does not qualify for a refund under this Policy is a breach of this agreement. In that case, you agree to be responsible for the costs we reasonably incur in responding to the dispute, including administrative costs, chargeback fees charged by our payment processors, and reasonable legal fees.
